The important factor influencing this change was derived from the policies of rule of British and Dutch in these colonies. The nature of these policies doesn ’ t towards the inherent good values of an activity that leads to social progress. But the results of colonial education in Malaysia and Indonesia went far beyond the original aims of the British and the Dutch. The educational policies of British colonialists in Malaysia and the Dutch in Indonesia have a strong influence on the development of the country later. Through this article, the author wants to clarify the main contents of British and Dutch educational policy in colonial Malaysia and Indonesia. From there, clarify the similarities and differences of British educational policy in Malaysia and the Dutch in Indonesia during the colonial period.
