Sources of replenishment of the phraseological fund of the Vietnamese language are active neologization on the original Vietnamese soil and the process of borrowing from other languages. Various models of the formation of phraseological neologisms, the transformation of existing phraseological units, the creation of phraseological units based on phonetic principles, as well as by citing works of art, television programs, advertising slogans, etc. are examined.
