In the Karakhanid period, the word bošγutčï was not seen but the word bošγut was used in the texts. The word bošγut means “instruction, lesson, advice” in KB [1: 104] and “apprentice” in MK [12: 77]. The word bošγut which means “apprentice” in MK can be considered as the continuation of the bošγutčï (“student”) in Old Uighur  13 . Kipchak word pošγut “laborer, casual worker” [38: 216] is the extension of the words bošγutčï “student” in Old Uighur and bošγut “apprentice” in Karakhanid [14: 604]  14 . The word is not encountered after the period of Kipchak. In the use of the word bošγut “apprentice”, which is formed around the phenomenon of learning, for the apprenticeship profession the fact that apprenticeship is also an educational process has a role. The expression är bošγutlandï [11: 97] “The man had an apprentice.” in MK shows that the old Turkish masters have the tradition of taking apprentice besides themselves  15 . After MK, in the history of Turkic languages the word bošγut is seen in the form of Kipchak word pošγut “laborer, casual worker” [38: 216], but it could not preserve its existence in Contemporary Turkish. 2. Conclusion After all this informations firstly, in my opinion, the question asked by Kocasavaş on the relation between *bošγu- and bušï can be answered with “no”. It seems that *bošγu- and bušï have just a phonetic similarity  16 , not a semantic one  17 .
